NOVEMBER 2014 E-NEWSLETTER AND SEPTEMBER DIGITAL MAGAZINE OUT NOW
The XKEC's November 2014 edition of the monthly E-Newsletter (kindly sponsored by Sturgess Jaguar of Leicester) and our September 2014 GROWLER digital magazine (now produced in association with our sister club, the F-TYPE Enthusiasts Club) has been emailed out to all FULL MEMBERS. XKEC MEMBERS TOUR SPAIN
XKEC member Andrew Spark recently arranged a members tour to Spain taking in various routes and some very beautiful scenery. Twelve XKs attended and everyone had a fiesta of a time.
XKEC TOURS THE COTSWOLDS
West Midlands Regional Officer Peter Simpson gathered a group of members together for a tour of the Cotswolds on Sunday 5th October 2014. Covering a planned route of 73 miles the picturesque tour took in some interesting sites such as Gaydon Heritage Centre, Broadway Tower Country Park and the historic town of Burford. The tour ended up with all members having tea and cakes at Heythrop Park Hotel in the Oxfordshire countryside. Whats more, the weather stayed nice as well.

WILTON WAKES UP XKEC MEMBERS
Some XKEC members went along to Wilton House on 28th September 2014 to join in a superb display of performance related cars and bikes.

The XKEC's ever popular East Midlands monthly Breakfast meet took place on 27th September 2014 at Donington.
TWENTY SEVEN XK's INVADE THE ISLE OF WIGHT
On Saturday 9th August 2014 twenty seven XKs convoyed from our Beaulieu Summer, Show & Shine event for a few days away on the Isle of Wight. Based at Shanklin members were treated to visits to Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle and the IOW Pearl (certainly one for the ladies).

On Saturday 9th August 2014 eighty XKs came along and joined us at our 3rd annual Summer, Show & Shine event at Beaulieu Motor Museum in Hampshire. Lovely weather and a beautiful array of cars certainly made this a day to remember.
XKEC CELEBRATES AROUND SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT (CLICK ON IMAGE TO VIEW VIDEO)
As usual the XKEC had a large variation display at the 2014 Silverstone Classic event that took place over 25th-27th July. Located in our usual superb spot of Copse Corner our members were also treated to a parade lap around the circuit to celebrate our clubs anniversary on the Saturday evening. Nearly 70 XKs took part in the parade.

On Saturday 17th May 2014 the XKEC gathered together some 180 XKs at Coughton Court in Warwickshire to celebrate the XKEC's annual GROWLER national event.With cars attending from as far afield as Holland, the beautiful blue skys and bright sunshine certainly added to the overall occassion. Here are some images of the event.Thank you to everyone who attended.

NEWS FROM AROUND THE XK WORLD
July 2014 : THE JAGUAR XK - THE FINAL FAREWELL (1996-2014)
On the 24th July 2014, the very last X150 was built and was handed over to its new custodian - Jaguar Heritage. The penultimate XK was a Polaris White naturally aspirated coupé that will be the last customer car – this was handed over by Castle Bromwich Operations Director Nicolas Guibert to Roger Carroll, Dealer Principal of Rybrook Jaguar in Chester who was receiving the car on behalf of his customer. The final car was an Italian Racing Red XKR coupé which was presented by Nicolas to Mike Beasley,Jaguar’s former Managing Director and now Vice Chairman of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. In line with tradition, the car is being gifted by JLR to the Trust and will form part of the collection; a special registration number has already been allocated for this – JH14 XKR.
June 2014 : JAGUAR'S "FINAL FIFTY LIMITED EDITION " DESIGN
Jaguar will wrap up their final 50 limited edition XK models this summer with a farewell XK branded as the "Final Fifty Limited Edition" cars. All will be sent abroad to the US market. They will carry the same specification as the current XKR model but with some added features that celebrate the history of Jaguar and the evolution of the brand's grand tourer image.
The car will come in Ultimate Black and will feature special trims both inside and out. A custom louvered hood will take attributes from the classic E-type, and the interior will be decked out in diamond sewn stitch pattern leather with suedecloth on the steering wheel. The XK will also have a unique badge sitting on the centre console and treadplates.
January 2014: JAGUAR ANNOUNCES XK SPECIAL EDITIONS FOR UK MARKET
Jaguar have released two special edition 2015 XK models which will be available in exclusive Signature and Dynamic R specifications.
The luxury focused XK Signature model has a 385PS 5.0-litre V8 engine and is fitted with a host of additional features including standard 20” Kalimnos wheels (20" Takoba wheels as an option) and Reverse Park Camera. The interior features luxury seats available in Ivory or Charcoal soft grain leather and Canvas Suedecloth headlining, Figured Ebony veneers and Bright Metal sport pedals.
The performance focused 510PS 5.0-litre supercharged XK Dynamic R offers Black Dynamic Pack, which incorporates XKR-S suspension and dynamics and a 10mm reduction in ride height, plus Speed Pack, which equips the car with an Aerodynamic Pack and an increased top speed of 174mph. A Performance Active Exhaust is also standard equipment. The interior boasts Jaguar’s new diamond sewn Performance seat in either Ivory/Charcoal soft grain leather with Ivory contrast stitch or Charcoal/Red soft grain leather with Red contrast stitch leather and the Jet Suedecloth headliner is complemented with Piano Black veneers. Bright Metal sport pedals are also fitted as standard. The car has 20” Vortex diamond turned wheels with distinctive Red painted brake calipers and 20” Vulcan Gloss Black lightweight alloys as an option.
Both editions are available with a choice of exterior body colours including Polaris White, Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey, Italian Racing Red, Dark Sapphire and British Racing Green.
