MEMBERSHIP "WELCOME" PACK
A presentation "Welcome" Pack is sent out to all new members within 14 days of receipt of their payment. This exclusive pack includes many important documents including a welcome letter, a copy of the club’s "GROWLER" magazine, an introductory DVD, a copy of XKEC News, an XKEC flyer and off course your very own official Membership Card.

 

 

 

INSURANCE DISCOUNTS
Two club discount car insurance schemes have been set up with leading performance car insurance companies "Adrian Flux Insurance Services" and "Footman James". Both have considerable experience with insuring cars.

Footman James Insurance Specialists

The XKEC Club is pleased to announce that it has negotiated a deal with specialist insurance broker, Footman James, securing special insurance discounts for club members. XKEC Club members will be entitled to discounts on their classic car insurance through Footman James, and can also take advantage of special rates on their modern everyday car, classic and modern motorcycle and home and contents cover too. FJ works closely with classic vehicle clubs across the country, and now of course, has partnered with the XKEC, so has a pretty good idea what classic vehicle owners and XKEC members want when it comes to insurance.

 

MEMBERS ONLY CHAT FORUM
Our exclusive member’s-only chat forum can only be accessed by authorised members with valid logins and passwords. Containing a mixture of fun and more serious technical matters the forum is a great way of seeking answers to any problems you may have or simply speaking to other members in general. Known as the "XK Bible" by our members there are around 186,000 messages posted on the forum, some 20,800 topics being discussed and some 600 members subscribing.

 

TECHNICAL AND PARTS ADVICE IMMEDIATELY AT HAND

We have a Technical Advice Team and Parts Advice Team on hand to answer any queries members may have. We also have a Used Vehicle Advisory Team who help members examine purchases on their behalf allowing them to get the right car at the right price (see more below).

 

ANNUAL CALENDAR OF EVENTS
We aim to provide a varied calendar of club events/tours/social gatherings throughout each year across the whole of the UK for members and their families to enjoy. Our past UK tours have included: Wales (2005), Cornwall (2006), Isle of Wight (2007). Lake District (2008 and 2010) and Scottish Highlands in 2010

Although our activities are mainly UK orientated we also arrange many overseas tours. So far we have been to France 2005 (Montreuil) and France 2007 (Reims, Champagne Region). We also arranged a successful tour of Normandy (France) in 2011.

We are now in the midst of arranging tours of the Somme Battlefields in France in April 2012 as well as tours to Provence (France) and Arden Automobiles (Germany) in late 2012 (dates for these are yet to be confimed).

 

 

CLASSIFIEDS
We have a special Classifieds section on our website where many members and non-members XKs come up for sale. Although this service is free to our members, there is a small cost to non members to advertise.

 

 

MONTHLY UPDATE E-NEWSLETTERS
In between our quarterly magazines we provide monthly electronic newsletters via E-mail to all members in order to bring them up-to-date on all club and XK related matters.

 

DISCOUNTS
We offer members the opportunity of receiving 10-15% discount on all parts acquired over the counter in selected UK Jaguar dealerships and members also receive other discounts on parts supplied by many other performance related companies. Again proof of membership will be required.

 

USED VEHICLE ADVISORY TEAM

The XKEC has established a 'Used Vehicle Advisory Team' consisting of a register of members who are willing to offer advice and assistance in respect of the purchase of used XKs.
The team are volunteers who have a broad and diverse range of experience with the XK, ranging from competence with the mechanical aspects through to the familiarity which can only be gained by many years of owning and driving the model. You must be a member of this club to receive this benefit.

 

OWNERS REGISTER
An invaluable and exclusive Vehicle Owners Register which is open to all members. These specific details are retained in leather bound binders and collected for future historical purposes. Further details are provided in the clubs "Welcome Pack" when joining.

MERCHANDISE

We provide our own “Official” club merchandise including clothing, annual Calendars etc. We also have an XK8 / XKR related book ordering service for members and non members alike (see our for sale section on our website for more in-depth details).
