12th July 2009Waddesdon Manor (Buckinghamshire)
On Sunday 12th July 2009 members of the XKEC visited the French-style chateau Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. Built in the 1870s the Manor is surrounded by some very beautiful gardens. Members took advantage of this and the great weather with their usual picnic gathering at lunchtime. Members also went on one of the wine cellar tours where they learnt about the Rothchilds' wine-making heritage and then sampled a tasting of two Rothchilds wines.
