Candlelighter's Charity Hospital Visit (Yorkshire)

On Saturday 20th June 2009 the XKEC visited Ward 10 of the St James Hospital in Leeds to present its first ever donation cheque to the ILKLEY CANDLELIGHTERS childrens cancer charity which the XKEC now proudly supports.

The money had been raised through membership applications, renewals, individual donations and an on-line auction. An incredible £3520 was raised. Thank you to all the staff at St James Hospital who made us all feel so welcome. A second cheque will be presented again in 2010.
