18th April 2010East of England Gathering (SUFFOLK)
On Sunday 18th April 2010 XKEC members gathered together at the request of Member Quentin Bargate who kindly offered to arrange a day out having lunch at the Swan Hotel in Thaxted in Essex. The weather was once again very kind and with nearly 15 cars in attendance it was a very enjoyable day out. The Hotel set aside a separate room for us which gave members the chance to generally introduce themselves and share conversation before deciding from a variety of options from the hotel menu. After lunch members then took a stroll around the very picturesque village of Thaxted before departing in convoy back to Quentin’s House where Quentin and his lovely family kindly laid on some afternoon tea and cakes.
