Bletchley Park (BUCKINGHAMSHIRE)

Bletchley Park was once Britain's best kept secret but on Sunday 21st March 2010 that secret was shared with the XKEC when 47 members XK's gathered together and displayed at this most historic venue in Milton Keynes.

With the days event starting with bright sunshine, a 21-car convoy made its way across Buckinghamshire to the heritage site and museum. On arrival members were treated to a very informative tour where expert guides explained about the Enigma Machines and various other activities and exhibitions, from wartime toys to working computers. There was also a wartime mini cinema and an outstanding Churchill collection on display.

The Victorian Mansion that was headquarters to some 8,500 intelligence staff during the War was an ideal background setting for our cars. Following the tours members then had a group picnic in what was wonderful weather for March followed by a wander around the grounds and other attractions.

Here are some pictures taken throughout the visit.
