19th June 2011Fife Historic Vehicle Day (Scotland)
XKEC Regional Officer Mark Fisken arranged for members to attend the Fife Historic Vehicle Day at Lathalmond Vintage Bus Museum on Sunday the 19th June 2011. Originally a naval base, the museum is now home to a vast collection of vintage buses. The event was a big success. The XKEC had six xk's and one S type on display. Meeting at 9.45am members convoyed across the Forth Bridge, then a short drive to Kelty along the M90 motorway before turning off and heading west toward lathalmond nestled in the hills not far from Knockhill racing circuit. Nearly 600 entries from motorbikes to commercials were present. The weather stayed fine with a bit of sun during the afternoon. A big thank thank you to all members who supported the event.
